The story in this book revolves around Leo and Carter. They’re stepbrothers. Leo’s mother is the head of their Mafia Family, and he is anticipated to take over from her. After she passes away, his brother assumes control and arranges for him to live with their father on the cattle ranch. Carter takes over his stepfather’s role at the cattle ranch. Leo’s arrival in town completely turns Carter’s world upside down.
I found this book to be absolutely amazing from start to finish. Leo and Carter had a relationship that was genuinely beautiful and special. Watching Carter struggle to accept his sexuality was an emotional and heartbreaking experience. Leo had a hilarious and sweet personality, even when he was acting like a brat. It was pretty funny how he only paid attention to Carter. I was crying my heart out when Leo discovered more about Carter’s past. Seeing Leo repeatedly check that they placed the correct flowers at his mother’s funeral made me very sad. This book was full of sweetness, humour, and plenty of exciting action throughout.
FAVORITE MOMENT
I found the moment most memorable in the book when Carter’s childhood letters were shared and Leo’s reaction to reading them. It was a tough moment, but Leo’s response was just amazing.
