First of all, I'd like to thank the author for giving me the opportunity to be part of her ARC team. This was such a unique story, with an interesting, original concept and truly intriguing characters.
That being said, I want to mention that I felt a bit lost at the beginning of the book when it came to the worldbuilding and the magic system, as I felt they weren't explained clearly enough. I know there were secrets, half-truths, and hidden identities that readers weren't meant to know until the very end, but I still found myself struggling through certain scenes and interactions between some characters, which didn't always feel consistent. As a result, I just couldn't connect with the main characters.
I loved the main idea of the book. As I said, I think it was interesting and original, but unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy the story as much as I would have liked.
