Book: Precious Obsession by Sara Hinds

Despite the threat of Carter still looming in the background, book two dropped back a gear and focussed more of the relationships forming between Kat and the Lawsons (plus Vince who is such a gonner for her!). All the connections are forming at their own speed which I always enjoy with Des, Nathan and Alex giving Kat plenty of spicy times while Vince and Oli are simmering away in the background. Oli has started to come out of his shell a little more; his awkwardness is so endearing as he overcomes all his assumpti0ns he had about Kat's motivations in book one. The hot cocoa fairy moment was very sweet as is his relationship with Addy. I loved that princess dates were their thing.
There wasn't much going on outwith the relationships blossoming and I did miss that compared to first book a little but it really lulled me into a false sense of security for that cliffhanger! The ending surprised me as there are only a couple of options on the villain front so I'm intrigued to see who is behind it all.
My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
