Night and the Dead Prince is the second book in the Volynian Tales trilogy. It picks up right where book one ended, and we continue to follow dawn and Ilya as they head North to find Yrsa.
I enjoyed this book more than the first one, partially because Dawn was much more tolerable in this book. As usual, Brien kept me on my toes with the twists and turns as revaluations come to light. I am not sure if we will get a reunification of Ilya and Kraso, and I honestly can’t decide if I do or don’t want that. So I am eager to see what book 3 brings…BUT THE SKY PUPPIES BETTER NOT BE HARMED!!!
My only complaint? CAN SOMEONE OFF KHESMIR ALREADY?! He keeps pissing me off, and I am OVER it.
