Right off the bat, Gio had me in an insta-hate vibe with him. He is not a nice person. It genuinely had me concerned for my ability to finish the book, and it was touch and go for a while... but... there is Bailey! Dear, sweet, Bailey who just had my whole heart!
Wicked Gluttony by Willow Katz is a journey of many parts. There is mystery, violence, betrayal, character redemption (I'm looking at you Gio!), self-discovery, love, possessiveness, banter, utter WTF moments (the birthday cake scene will forever live in my brain.
The way Gio and Bailey come together, the way they save each other, it is such a credit to Willow Katz's writing, especially with how they were able to completely change my initial feelings towards Gio.
I do wish that there was more of a build-up before Bailey and Gio act on their feelings.
