I really enjoyed Of Blood and Lies ! This story had romance, fated mates, royal secrets, hidden identities, betrayals, and so many surprising revelations. Every time I thought I finally understood what was happening or knew whom Avina could trust, another secret came out and changed everything.
Avina, Xavier, and Ayden were definitely my favorite characters. I loved Avina’s courage and the way she continued helping and protecting others, even when she was afraid or surrounded by people who underestimated her. Watching her discover the truth about herself, grow stronger, and finally stand up for what she wanted was one of my favorite parts of the story.
Xavier and Ayden each brought something completely different to the book, and I loved them both for different reasons. Ayden’s teasing and playful personality made me laugh, while Xavier’s quieter and more mysterious side made me want to understand him. Their secrets, complicated histories, and connections with Avina added so much tension and emotion to the story.
There was a lot happening in this book, but it kept me interested and wanting to know how everything would turn out. I especially enjoyed the banter, the family revelations, the emotional moments, and all the twists surrounding the Blood King.
If you enjoy darker wolf shifter romance with fated mates, royal intrigue, complicated characters, and plenty of secrets and surprises, you should definitely check this one out. Just make sure to read the content warnings first.
