Melody Bittersweet sees ghosts. The women in her family do too. Melody opens The Girls Ghostbusting Agency to help ghosts resolve their unfinished business & move on. Their first case is to get a trio of brothers to move on to the next phase of the afterlife so that the current owner can sell it. The problem? One of the brothers was murdered, so until they get this solved, they remain unhappy and scare away any potential buyers. Melody has two problems that keep getting in the way, one - an ex-boyfriend who is now threatens her business by trying to beat her at her own game, and two, a handsome, yet meddlesome reporter who has it out for her family.
I breezed through Crazy Spooky Love. Melody and her crew vibe so well together. The dysfunctional, dead, trio of brothers added some more interesting personalities to the mix of quirky characters. There’s a side of spice on this platter of mismatched cookies, but it’s plated well. Crazy Spooky Love mixes cozy mystery, girl boss, and slow burn romance in a silly, fun to read story.
