Barriers of Lies is a very good book! I definitely would not say this is one you can half listen to while doing something else as you’ll miss a bit of important information. I read most of it visually but would use assistive reader to listen in the car as well, and I had to go back because I was, like, wait, what just happened? Furthermore, I would go so far to say that, like many fantasies, especially in the world-building phase, getting your bearings before attempting to multitask would be something you would want to do. And I only say all this because this book is so good that you don’t want to miss anything! I absolutely loved the found family aspect and hope that we will get to see much more of Vanessa and Danny!
