Sahar has spent the last two years trying to find Ruhi, who left after only two days together, leaving behind a nasty letter. He hasn’t been able to forget her, so imagine his shock when they meet again on her first day.
Ruhi tries to pretend like nothing happened, focusing on work. But Sahar isn’t letting her off that easily. The spark between them is still there, and it doesn’t take long before feelings start creeping back in. Will they clear up the miscommunication and give love another shot?
I loved how confident Ruhi is at work. She knows her worth and isn’t afraid to show it, commanding attention with her smarts and straight-shooter attitude. That said, at times she did cross the line into seeming a tad arrogant. Still, seeing a strong woman excel in a male-dominated industry is always a win.
And Sahar… swoon. I kept picturing a jacked Sendhil Ramamurthy while reading, and I wasn’t mad about it. My heart broke a little when the full story of their miscommunication came out—lesson learned: never eavesdrop!
The book was a bit tricky for me to get into, especially during the work scenes. The industry-specific jargon felt heavy and sometimes pulled me out of the story.
This is the third book in the Forever series, but it can totally be read as a standalone.
