The statement that drew me in "All it takes is eight seconds for your world to come crashing to a halt. What happens when you’re injured, stuck with the one man who makes your blood heat in a way you’ve never experienced before?"
This was my first Cowboy romance book. Over all I enjoyed the book, the story line and the characters.
It did take me a bit to get into the book. It wasn't until about halfway in that I really started to get to where I didnt want to put the book down.
This book was definitely a slow burn kind of book which is not typically my thing but I am really glad I stuck with it because the character development that happens in the last half is big.
Getting to see Kayce finally start to address his internal issues and get help was really great to see. Im a huge advocate for mental health and a firm believer in therapy is for everyone.
As much as I loved Kayce he also drove me bonkers lol. I will say if your not a fan of books that things could have been different if there wasn't such a lack of communication then this book will be a struggle. But if you can get past wanting to shake the characters at times its worth the read. I will definitely be giving the other books in this series a try soon.
