Book: Stay Little Fighter: A Dark Why Choose Mafia Romance by Montana Fyre

I had been waiting for Damon's time to shine and it has definitely been a rocky road for him and Chloe! Damon finally accepts that pushing Chloe away to keep her safe has completely backfired; his development is at the forefront of this book and I liked how he and Chloe were finally honest with each other. Ryker though is still the star of the show - he is the best character hands down and had me in stitches (which is saying something as I am 100% Damon coded normally!). Almost all of my highlights are from him; from referring to Damon as the "annoying Lombardi", to wondering how many trackers he can tag Chloe with, he has been all in since day one. I liked seeing him think of the guys as family too and how he was very firm on his desire to be a stay-at-home husband!
I would have liked to have seen more of the villains as the threat didn't feel as prevalent in this one. There is one particular off page death which fell a bit flat after a three book build up but plotwise everything is tied up nicely. There are some secrets revealed which I enjoyed as it answered some questions from earlier in the series without it feeling tacked on at the end. The epilogue is sweet too and I'd love to see these characters again.
My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it overall; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
