Jo is so good at writing men who do cruel things but like, in a sexy way.
David Max Lawson has never gotten over his Starburst. When things ended the night of high school graduation he has held on to that ish. Now, he’s using anything at his disposal to get that girl back - and I mean that in every sense of the word.
This book is dark, it’s gritty, it’s intense, the trigger warnings are there for a reason.
Our FMC, Emma is amazing. She gives as good as she gets. She’s not unscathed from their breakup and she wears that chip on her shoulder like plate armor.
I love the way they fight. I love the drama.
This story is epic. It’s messy. It made scream. It made me cry. Ruthless is a very apt description.
