ARC Review
This is my honest and voluntary review.
This is the fourth book in The Firm series cowritten by Cora Rose and Lark Taylor. At the heart of it is a grumpy/sunshine, hurt/comfort romance where both MCs help one another to heal. Samson and Rowan are an excellent match in this story. They have an unexpected connection and their chemistry is off the charts. Samson softens around the edges when it comes to Rowan, who is a caretaker at heart.
Both Rowan and Samson are dealing with past trauma in their own way. Rowan needs an ever present flow of distractions in order to help him cope. The walls around his heart are high. I love how Samson hones in on something for himself in his love of dance, regardless of his skill level. Samson is fixated on Rowan from the start and it’s clear the dancer affects him in ways that he doesn’t anticipate.
Larry is an interesting character in this book. I enjoyed all of his interactions with Rowan. It was also great seeing the rest of the Buckingham brothers and their significant others in this book. Their antics do not disappoint and game night is just as chaotic as ever. I lived for those scenes! Rowan gets along really well with the Buckinghams and their beaus. I love the found family vibes in this book.
While Rowan and Samson have a couple of hurdles to overcome before they achieve their HEA, it’s really sweet when they do. Their love is one for the ages. Now let’s talk about that epilogue! My jaw literally dropped. I absolutely have to read Harley and Jules’s story, up next in the series!
