I had the opportunity to listen to this audiobook before its launch. In my opinion, the narrators did a great job. They infused the characters with personalities. That story didn't appeal to me much. I didn’t connect with this one the way I hoped to. I wasn't fond of the FMC Ella. I believe she was somewhat of a villain and destroyed MMC Karter's life. She sees him at the age of 5 and feels a bond with him, even though she was already centuries old at that time. Then he met her at 17 and essentially built his entire life around her. If she had left him alone, his life would have been much better. Justice for Rachel! I don't understand why they included her in the story. That part of the story was so cruel. I really felt bad for Rachel and Karter. Normally, I love stories about fated mates, yet this one fell short.
