"Our emptiness is not the same. His comes from loss. And mine comes from being lost."
Aimee is a bit lost, her best friend is drifting away and she feels alone. Moving in with her sister she finds the grumpy guy she met at a bar is their neighbour and father to her niece's best friend. Finn is grieving for his wife who passed almost a decade ago but his lovely, if somewhat annoying, family are encouraging him to move forward.
There is fantastic banter between Aimee and Finn, she's definitely the sunshine to his grumpy, but he's just as smitten as she is. Only he can't perform in the bedroom so he pulls away from her and self sabotages their budding relationship. Even still, he can't stay away from her and she still wants to be with him. There are some scenes that are very emotional, you really feel the insecurity and self doubt they both have. It's a very touching story of Finn navigating his grief and Aimee finding her place.
