I didn’t love this one, but I really enjoyed parts of it.

I was completely there for the chase. I like dark MM, so Logan’s persistence doesn’t bother me at all. I am invested in watching him go after Tate, and I think the emotional buildup between them is done pretty well.

And the sex? Perfect. I know that’s not going to be everyone’s reaction, but I think it works. It feels like part of their relationship and part of the way they’re building that connection with each other rather than something that’s just there for the sake of it.

I think the biggest thing for me is that I don’t quite connect with the book as much as I want to. There are pieces I really enjoy, but overall it doesn’t completely pull me in.

That said, I am immediately going into the next book. And honestly, if this series keeps going the way I think it will, I can absolutely see myself becoming obsessed.

There is a confidence to this book that I really appreciate, and I have a lot of respect for an author who takes a swing like this.

It doesn’t completely work for me, but it definitely makes me want to keep reading.
