4.5 * I loved how this story twisted and turned. Just when you think you can let your guard down, in comes another WTF moment!
It's really well paced with exceptional banter between three mc's, mixed together with Serena's incredibly vivid and detailed world building, makes this a brilliant read!
There's secrets to be discovered, hidden powers to unveil, great spice, fated mates, deception, chemistry, strong side characters, clever villains, and so much more.
One of the great things about this story is that the magical realm runs alongside our own modern world in New York city. I do feel some simple options were overlooked in one part of the story-i read a particular twist and kept thinking - why isn't X being blamed? Why aren't they contacting her parents or getting ahead of the story? -none of these options are addressed or acknowledged so this one part became a little unbelievable to me personally. However, one tiny floor is all I could find in this whole story, so that makes this another absolute must-read and another Serena Knights hit.
