I can’t exactly remember where I first seen this book, but it piqued my interest and I was very intrigued. This book will have you wondering what your life would have been like if you lived in the 1950s and a housewife. From the moment I started the audiobook, I could tell I was going to be hooked. Lulu, at first seemed like the perfect “housewife” but the way she seemed obsessed by the house across the street and the new occupants, something seemed strange to me, especially when it came to Bitsy (the one who moved in).
I was so engrossed with it even while cleaning, when the plot twist happened. I stopped everything and backed up the audio thinking I spaced out for a moment and I missed something, but nope. So I backed it up a few chapters and re-listened to be certain but no I didn’t miss anything. The plot twist will surely surprise you. Great book overall, if you’re on the fence about it, pick it up. You won’t be disappointed.
