I tried so hard to like this book. It fell flat and I felt so lost and confused the entire time. I even restarted about halfway through and relistened to this ALC at way less than my normal 2.3-2.6x speed. I went all the way down to 1.75 ( I couldn’t go any lower, I tried but I couldn’t stand it.) in total, I listened to this audio 3 times hoping it would get better and I could follow it better, but sadly I couldn’t. Colton and Lucian both seemed like very enjoyable characters but the whole storyline was disjointed and lacking. There were too many “off camera” moments that were mentioned and talked about but left too many questions as of why they were mentioned but not further details were given.
This audiobook could use some additions to it and most likely the book as well to make it better.
