The Exception to the Rule by Christina Lauren is pure delight! This super cute novella follows two strangers connected by a Valentine’s Day email typo, leading to years of charming, rule-bound messages that slowly turn into something deeper.
I loved how adorably sweet and funny it is; those warm, fuzzy vibes had me smiling the whole way through. The email format (mostly emails with just enough narrative) feels fresh, intimate, and so easy to devour. It perfectly captures their growing chemistry while keeping the mystery alive until the satisfying payoff.
A quick, uplifting romance that leaves you giddy and hopeful. One of my favorite short reads this year!
