I absolutely love all Scarlett’s writing, but this one might just be at the very top because omggg what a ride! It’s been a few days and I’m still thinking about it - the tension, the action, the absolutely delicious slow burn, and that ending?! YESS queen! This one isn’t even out in the wild yet and I’m already needing book 2 asap. I do wish we’d gotten a bit more…just MORE. The concepts and historical references, and even the characters I felt at times like we were just getting a surface scrape with all of this untapped information just under the surface. Really I just didn’t want the book to end if I’m being honest, even though I couldn’t put it down and binged it in one day
