This was definitely better than Try.

For one thing, I finally got to understand why the hell Logan is the way he is. He was insufferable in the first book, but getting to see what was underneath all of that made him so much more interesting. And then finding out that he ran even deeper than I expected? Yeah, I was into it.

And Tate. Man. Parts of this were painful.

Watching him deal with his family, his sexuality, and trying to figure out if what he felt for Logan was actually love was so much more detailed and in-depth than I expected. Deliciously painful, honestly.

I also really loved that their relationship wasn't just the whole opposites attract thing. They were opposites, sure, but they complemented each other. They both hurt in completely different ways and somehow found healing with each other.

I especially liked Tate getting to realize that being bi didn't suddenly have to change everything about his life. That part felt important.

I'm invested enough to finish this series, but I don't think I love it enough to recommend it to other people.

So far, I'm enjoying Logan and Tate. I'm just not completely feral about them.
