Shedding Starlight is a paranormal fantasy story, with dark romance, a steamy love triangle, and an academy for Alpha werewolves, set in a magical world.
I really enjoyed Nyx's story; she was a lovable, strong FMC, who's just trying to survive, after being named a pariah by her Pack, because she couldn't shift on her 15th birthday. At 19, she's shamed every day, and treated like garbage by her own peers. It's so sad to read how the Pack treats the 'Marnon', like they are mistakes that need to be rid of. Everything changes when she's abducted by the Crown Prince, and taken to Cedar Hollow Academy: 'a labyrinth of secrets, smiling enemies, and deadly games she was never taught to play'.
And then, there are the prince brothers, Kieran and Solis. They couldn't be more different, and it was so difficult to decide who to root for ❤️🔥
The side characters were really interesting too, loved the Southern vibe of Lila, and her drawling phrases 😅
Full of secrets, half truths, twists and turns in every corner, the story kept me wondering about everything. The ending was mindblowing, and left me with even more questions! I cannot wait for book #2!!
