Ruby finds herself transported to another realm, with monsters galore, where she is found by Gideon. He feels an instant connection to her and is super protective, which is good because trouble keeps finding her since humans are not welcome here. Ruby's cat Noodles also came along for the ride, and played a starring role. The tension between Ruby and Gideon escalates until things get steamy between the fated mates.
As a chronic illness girlie I really appreciated the things that Gideon dealt with, how you find yourself having to push through pain to live your life. Ruby is very accepting of all that happens, and honestly who wouldn't be if some hot Naga, who also happens to be royalty, claimed you as his own? There is an overarching storyline that will presumably continue in future books and I'm looking forward to reading more and seeing what happens next!
