I read Kristen's first book, The Scientist, and absolutely loved it so I was thrilled to read an ARC of Row-mantically Challenged and it was fantastic!

Myles is a medical student who is uncertain about her future and finds herself the rookie on a river rafting tour crew. Led by Weston, the gorgeous grump who absolutely hates that Myles is there. While he is determined to make her leave, she is even more determined to stay and prove him wrong. Workplace romance and all the banter, it is deliciously good.

But don't be fooled that this is a rom-com, while it is very funny and the cast of characters bring a lot of heart and humour, there is such depth to the story and the characters are dealing with some heavy topics. The heartbreak behind the story, the healing that comes along the way and the romance that develops as both Myles and Wes. There is a wonderful found family vibe throughout and the cast of characters are varied and interesting, they each have their own struggles but ultimately are there for each other.

Because of the heavy topics I would suggest checking trigger warnings, but the way these topics are handled was in my opinion brilliantly portrayed and very relatable. You are really rooting for these characters, not just Myles and Wes but their family and friends also.

If you haven't read either The Scientist or Row-mantically Challenged I would highly recommend them both. Kristen B. Cole has been firmly cemented as a must read author for me!
