I went into Rites of the Starling a little unsure, and honestly, the first chunk of the book had me feeling confused and a bit bogged down. It felt slow going at times, making me wonder if I was going to connect with it.
But once the story picked up momentum? I was completely locked in. The writing pulled me deep into the characters and the escalating tension, and I couldn’t put it down. The emotional depth, the relationships, and the way everything unfolded were absolutely masterful.
Then that final 10% hit me like a freight train. I was straight up sobbing. Just ugly crying, over the revelations and how everything came together. My heart is still recovering. What a powerful, beautifully crafted cliffhanger ending
