This book had me stressed out from start to finish. Every alliance, every fight, every impossible choice left me gripping the pages and holding my breath. At the same time, certain moments hit so hard I was tearing up, especially the quieter ones filled with grief, loyalty, and hope. Aelin’s journey is fierce and unflinching, the stakes feel relentlessly high, and the emotional payoffs land with real weight. I finished it completely drained in the best way and already desperate for the next book.
