I wasn’t expecting the writing in Playground to be this good. Honestly, I went in with pretty low expectations, but the prose was sharp and the story grabbed me right away. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down and ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting.
There are some genuinely grotesque parts that might turn some readers off, but I didn’t mind them at all. They fit the tone and kept things intense. Solid, addictive horror that delivered more than I thought it would. Worth the time.
