Another knockout from Irene Bahrd. Russ is a sweet, broken but trying Goalie who is dealing with some... anger issues? Let's go with that. He's not a bad guy but like all goalies he's not quite normal. He really doesn't do well with seeing women getting touched without their consent and when he sees Scarlett getting pressured on kiss cam it's insta-imprint on her after he scares the CRAP out the dude who won't take no for an answer.
The relationship between the two of them is ADORABLE and their text banter is hilarious.
The sexy times are always a highlight since it's a Bahrd book but really the best part here is the growth in both of the characters as they go from "besties" to in a full blown relationship.
Love them, love Bahrd, love this entire series.
I ARC read this book and squealed my way through the entire thing.
