I’m obsessed! I read a lot of fantasy romance, but this book grabbed me from the first two sentences and didn’t let go. I absolutely devoured it. And now? I have so many questions and I desperately need answers. Of course, Blake left me with a gut-wrenching cliffhanger, and I’m already dying to know what happens next.
Astraea, the isolated heir to a ruthless king, is caught between duty and desire, forced to live in the shadows until a suitor wins her hand in the trials. Astraea tries to escape this fate, but destiny has other plans and thrusts her into the path of the dangerous twins, Kyros and Mavros. Mavros is all charm, while Kyros is the broody, intense one with his own secrets to hide.
What really makes this story sizzle? The slow burn between Astraea and Kyros—tense, forbidden, and absolutely electric. Watching them become increasingly drawn to each other felt like playing with fire (If you love “Touch her & die” vibes, this book is for you!) The payoff was absolutely worth the wait. There’s forced proximity, forbidden love, hidden magic, and creatures that haunt your dreams.
I’m going to stop here before I give anything else away. It's so worth it, and I'm already counting down the days until book two.
