This was a super cute, easy read. MMC and FMC being bestfriends of 20+ years only to have a one night stand and now have a baby on the way and having to figure that all out was super cute and wholesome.
That said, this wasn't a book that completely blew me away—it was simply a cute, cozy romance. If you're looking for something low angst, heartwarming, and full of small-town charm, I think you'll really enjoy it.
Alice consistently writes romances that feel comforting and wholesome, and while I personally read more darker, more emotionally chaotic stories, I still appreciate how she incorporates topics like mental health into her books. They're the kind of romances you pick up when you want something sweet that leaves you smiling.
