Mouse visits Carlsbad Caverns National Park is book 8 of the Mouse Traveler Series. Mouse happened upon Carlsbad Caverns on the computer and decided he needed to visit. Mouse teleported to Carlsbad at the amphitheater just as the sun was setting and noticed a lot of people sitting and waiting there. Before he knew it, the sky darkened with bats. Mouse met a friend while watching, Mabel. They then embark on a journey through the caves.
This book is wonderfully illustrated with vibrant colors and maintains little one’s attention. Tricia Gardella does a fantastic job of creating a unique story for little ones while weaving in facts along the way. This time she added in a nursing rhyme that includes counting. At the end of the book there is a series of questions that can be asked during story time at school and other facts about Carlsbad Caverns. It’s a great book to read at bedtime also. Definitely recommend the entire series
