sometimes when i end up in a place that I hate all the books ever in the world, I think it's me. you know those moments, where everything is a lot and nothing seems to click with you. those are the moments I have no patience for a book that may end up wonderful.

that is not the case with any book by Leighton Greene

i was in the worst mood last night. my week has been long, i woke up with a migraine, every book i've been trying for the last day or two has not stuck.

until.

until I picked up this magnificent thing that my stormy mindset was utterly immune to.

now, please take care dear reader to double check the content warnings. this book is dark, but deliciously so, and the balance between dark and light is absolutely stunning. I am obsessed with the depths to both of these characters, desperate for more of their interactions, so much so that I read it through in one single go.

this book is gripping and swoopy it'll make you squirm a little in good ways and in bad but no matter what, if this is your cup of tea, it's certainly something you wont want to put down until the very, very end.
