Review: Just a Bit Wrong

Book: Just a Bit Wrong by Alessandra Hazard

I initially thought this one was calmer than Just a Bit Unhealthy and maybe not quite as memorable. Then we started talking about Zach and Tristan and I actually loved them. I might even like them better than Jared and Gabriel?

Hazard is really good at getting me invested in a relationship quickly, and Tristan and Zach had a lot more depth than I initially remembered. Tristan's vulnerability coming through underneath all the bratty behavior really worked for me, and Zach refusing to indulge him was apparently VERY much my thing. There are several moments where Tristan wants to stomp off and do his whole Tristan thing, and Zach is just not having it. Whew. I needed to fan myself.

But it wasn't just hot. Their dynamic required a lot of trust, and I really felt the relationship deepen because of that. The more Tristan had to let Zach in and give up some control, the more invested I became in them.

The writing continues to improve with every book, and Hazard is ridiculously good at pacing and quick character development. Unfortunately, the prose still isn't quite where I want it to be, and that's what keeps this at a 3★ for me.

Which is honestly hilarious because I really, really love this series and immediately wanted the next book.
