Review: Just a Bit Obsessed

Book: Just a Bit Obsessed by Alessandra Hazard

I went into this one knowing there would be some female involvement, and I was immediately like, booo, I don't want any. Thankfully, the less of her there was, the happier I got, because what I actually ended up caring about was the relationship between the two men.

And honestly, the chemistry worked. Even though the writing was still subpar, I believed what they felt for each other. I watched their connection grow, and that made a huge difference. It never felt like I was being asked to believe they were obsessed with each other just because the book told me they were. I could actually see it happening.

The problem is that I wanted more. More depth, more backstory, more information about them, more of that connection that was starting to form. The book got so close to giving me something really satisfying, and then instead of digging deeper, some of the moments started feeling contrived.

The writing was definitely better than Just a Bit Twisted, but still not great, and the lack of depth kept this from becoming something I really loved.

That said, I read the entire thing in one night, so clearly Hazard still has a little something going for her.
