we all know I'm mad for anything written by Jesse H Reign, and this story is no different! It's good... mostly.
i was so excited to find a new release just after I'd gotten really hooked on this author, but while I was in love with Orion and Jordan from the start, this book dragged a little for me. In fact? There were pieces that I just outright flicked through.
I know, I know! It's crazy!! but I've never been a fan of flipping back and forth for pseudo-flashbacks. That I can say, okay, hey, that's totally a me preference. Some people love that stuff!
but the introspection, y'all. The in-tro-spec-tion.
these characters were well formed, real people who had obvious love for one another, but I really would have appreciated more show and less tell. i was jonesing to watch some of these moments happen instead of spending so much time inside their heads being told what they were thinking and feeling.
will I keep reading everything Jesse H Reign has to offer? you betcha!
Will I recommend this book to other people? Probably not...
