The story revolves around Charlie, a protagonist grappling with personal struggles and inner demons. The exploration of Charlie's internal conflicts and growth over time is a highlight, showcasing the character's development in a way that many readers can resonate with. Guidroz's writing style effectively captures the nuances of everyday life and the thoughts that race through our minds. This approach allows readers to connect with the characters on a personal level, making the emotional journey more relatable. However, there were instances where the pacing felt inconsistent, causing the narrative to lag at times. Some scenes seemed drawn out, and this affected the overall flow of the story. Additionally, while the emotional depth was present, there were moments when it verged on becoming overly sentimental. The supporting characters had potential, but I wished for more development in their arcs. Further exploration of their backgrounds and motivations would have added layers to the story and enriched the connections Charlie forms throughout the book. Some key moments felt rushed, while others were foreshadowed to the point of predictability. To add, there were some errors in the book as well that threw me off.
