Rating: 4/5
Hunting Adeline is a thrilling ride that combines mystery and suspense, Carlton weaves a complex web of intrigue, deception, and secrets that unfold with each turn of the page. One of the standout aspects of the book is the predictable nature of the story. Just when you think you've figured things out, you’re thrown a curveball that keeps you guessing. The pacing is generally well-executed, maintaining a steady rhythm that keeps the suspense alive. While the book excels in many aspects, there are moments where the plot's complexity might become a bit overwhelming, requiring the reader's full attention to follow the intricate threads. The reason I gave it four stars was because I felt that some of the smut was just thrown in there, I got to a point where I just skimmed through it just to get back to the plot. In summary, "Hunting Adeline" is a gripping tale that keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you're a fan of psychological thrillers with a penchant for mystery and a taste for the unexpected, this book is definitely worth a read.
