When new student Squilla Balloo joins the class, the main character isn’t exactly excited. In fact, she’s determined to get rid of her new “enemy” and finds a book in the library that she uses to help in her quest. But when her magical science experiment doesn’t go quite as planned, the girls end up forming an unexpected bond. Lois delivers another fantastic story that blends humor, STEM elements and unexpected friendships. The book is a great introduction to science for little ones, with vibrant illustrations that make it engaging and adds in some humor. Highly recommended for anyone who has or reads to little ones.
