🌶️🌶️🌶️ My spice rating doesn’t really work for this book so I will say it’s dark, it’s not frequent and mass produced and there’s no dirty talk but when you read it you’ll understand…

You must read this series in order, this is book 4.
This series is set in the same world as her other books so are interconnected, however previous books do not need to be read at all to enjoy this series.

Ok so this series just gets better and better! The triggers are smack you in the face dangerous and the spice is delicate and steamy all the way to you should read this privately, alone, in bed and at night! It’s the least violent of the series so far but it’s damn dark with some dub/con possible sa happening.

This instalment is built on such promises of hope and the ability to move forward and past the trauma, but it’s obvious the script will flip and it will end in a nightmare, we just don’t know how the author plans on committing this act of treason and devastating(or exciting…?) all of us! So when I came up on the twist I was very appreciative as it fit perfectly in the story and with the characters themselves. Well done miss author you!

But, My word- is my face steaming right now because Sebastian gives me all the red flag love notes!!! Give me that boy with a ribbon on!
Ok seriously, the characters we meet throughout this difficult journey are incredibly well developed and don’t allow you to just form an opinion, no, we first get introduced, then courted and then we get development, intrigue and secrets! Only then can you start to make your mind up on who you THINK is a good guy and who is a villain.
This is all show no tell, even past memories and revelations are beautifully laid out.
My god the layers in these short little books are exquisite!

It’s shocking these are such short books, the amount of plot, character depth, mystery, betrayal, history, revelations, loyalty and of course, spice… is unfathomable, how does it fit in so few pages? Darcy, what are you doing to us!
I could happily cram all of these novellas into one and just read them that way as they flow so smoothly into each other. I absolutely love the way that each book is a new story yet references and leads back to the previous ones, as if indeed, this is just one big story- and all of these separate books are just chapters… in fact I am tempted to bind it into one book myself as a shelf trophy!

On a personal note this is possibly my favourite one so far, we get some beautiful moments (which I’m so happy about because they are WELL DESERVED) we get some payback dolled out, there’s the delicious taste of betrayal and then even more, there’s a new plot twist! An added layer to the mysteries of the town and I am here for it!

If you love DEEP, DRK, DEVASTATING ROMANCE mixed with some paranormal twists and turns then this series is soooooo ready for you! Go pick it up, you won’t be disappointed

Thank you so much to the author for allowing me to be one of the first to read this book before its release, I know I’m a strict review but you did it, my honest and truthful opinion gives this a full 5 stars! Now go write more please!
