This story had really interesting topics, such as pirates, sea witches, political intrigue, and a steamy slow-burn romance ✨
I was truly enjoying the plot, but after the first few chapters, it felt like a lot of things were missing. They talk about their magic, the war, princes, a queen, and merfolk, but we don't get the full story, and that made me feel a little lost. I now know this story is a spin-off of a duology, but still, a little more background would've been nice, and I would have enjoyed this book a lot more.
I truly enjoyed this story. Arynn and Hadeon were great MCs, but even their backstories felt short. So I wish this book were longer, with those topics more developed.
