Such an adorable and heartwarming story about friendship, helping others and bravery. Cray and Hay set off on journey to surprise Hay’s mom for her birthday. Along the way, they meet all sorts of animals that come along in their journey and help them get to their destination. This book does a great job of using rhyming words in the story. The illustrations are colorful and vibrant to keep little one’s attention and are wonderfully done. Beyond the adventure, the story does teach children about courage, confidence and asking for help when it is needed, especially when it is something new and they are unsure of themselves. An excellent book to read to little ones before bedtime or during story time
