Book: Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton

Haunting Adeline is a very dark romance (check your trigger warnings), with a spice level of 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. This was my first dark romance I delved into, it is told in dual POV and is very smutty! Haunting Adeline is a thrilling ride that combines mystery, suspense, and unexpected twists to keep readers hooked from start to finish. The plot surrounding Adeline and Zade both alone and together was amazing. The story revolves around Adeline, a character who finds herself entangled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. As the plot unfolds, readers are taken on a roller-coaster of emotions, wondering who can be trusted and what lies beneath the surface. Carlton's writing skillfully builds tension, creating an atmosphere that's both eerie and compelling. The character development was impeccable! I find it difficult to explain the book without giving too much away, but if you like true crime as well as Law and Order SVU mixed with spice, go for it! This did end on a HUGE cliffhanger, so I recommend having Hunting Adeline on standby.
