so i'll admit i love an omegaverse novel. if you can't tell from my reading history i like things that are intense. and whew, this book falls into that category.
unexpected heat is one of my all-time favorite tropes, and this one is done soooo well. there's nothing better than a dose of confused yearning and we get it in spades here.
also lucien and branson are such different people, that it's fun to move from one brain into the other. i think few things for me have been as swoopy as branson's bits, the utter devastating weight of his affection for his mate.
and that doesn't even get to the good bits. (branson has LOTS of good bits...)
it did take a minute to get a run up, but the lore that was set up and the story dominos were oh-so worth the wait. i wanted the beginning to go FASTER, but I still didn't manage to put the dang book down...
