Book: God of Fury by Rina Kent

This was my FIRST dip into the dark MM pool, recommended by a friend, and I instantly became feral.
I read every Rina Kent MM book as soon as I finished the last one, and I read every single one in less than a day. So yeah. This book did some things to me.
Niko and Bran were INSANE. Niko took a little while to grow on me, and at first I thought Bran was way too soft, but ultimately I became absolutely obsessed with them.
I love morally grey characters. I love a toxic relationship in a story. And Niko is basically everything I want from that. He is crazy and insane and loves with every piece of who he is. He just wants everyone else to love that completely, too. I LOVE HIM.
And underneath all the toxicity, darkness, and spice, there is so much going on with Brandon's trauma, identity, and the way he has learned to survive. It gives the whole relationship more weight than I expected.
Is it toxic? Yes. Dark? Absolutely. Spicy? Yep.
But is it so, so, so well crafted that it all feels important?
YES.
This was my first Rina Kent MM book and it set a STRONG standard.
I recommended it to my work book club. That's how much I believe in this one.
