Gilded Locks by Lydia Michaels was a 5 star read for me, and I honestly loved it even more than book 1 in the Villains of Kassel series.
This dark reverse harem romance pulled me in right away. Marigold Calder is a runaway heiress who ends up trapped in a snowstorm at the lodge of Hunter, Stone, and Ash—three dangerous Russian brothers known as The Bears. From there, the story turns intense, obsessive, dark, and incredibly addictive.
I loved the dynamic between Marigold and the three men. Hunter, Stone, and Ash each had very different personalities, which made the tension even better. But the standout for me was Marigold. I loved the strength she showed throughout the story. No matter what she was up against, she never came across as weak. She fought for herself, and I loved that about her.
This book delivered dark romance, forced proximity, snowbound tension, secret identity, revenge, possessive anti-heroes, and plenty of heat.
I definitely recommend it to readers who enjoy darker romance with morally gray characters.
