As a book, it's good, but as the follow-on from blood of the priestess it just disappointed me. I'm heartbroken because I think it's my fault I didn't enjoy it as much because I was expecting something totally different - I did not read the description so its all on me. I was just hoping for a beautiful start with our fmc and her mmc and how they're living now and how they've built up since leaving. I was hoping for more info on the flash gods and what's happening there now, communication with her sisters and tons about learning to use their powers and becoming the high priestess and things...
What was actually in the book was an entirely new story to enjoy! We got bugger all spice which broke my heart because I really thought the first book had so much heartbreak and trials and devastation that we were going to get some rewards at the start but we didnt- we were straight in with it!
