Fading Blossoms is a romantic dark tale, set in a corrupted world that's fading to oblivion. With flower magic that no longer runs free within humans, parasite flowers absorbing the remanent power and the Divine Gods in hiding, the Earth is nothing more than withered trees and a grey scenery.
I absolutely loved the unique magic system, it was so original. I haven't read anything like it. Each person with a magic flower has its unique scent and power.
I didn't like the FMC as much as the MMC. I get that she was naive because of her childhood, but she was really selfish and spoiled. He, on the other hand, was more complex, with a really traumatic past and a lot of self-growth. And the side characters were really enjoyable to read about.
With a few twists and turns, some secrets and betrayals.. and the ending was heartbreaking 💔
