I absolutely loved this audiobook, I’m all for making people pay for their sins and boy did these alphas sin!
I love their chemistry between the pack I loved the sword crossing relationship and the group dynamics too. Each character was individual and brought so much depth to the story.
I appreciated the amount of detail that went into this book, the ride or die best friend was a genius character! As were the villains! The world building was simple and effective and the set up of the trials and their free math was genius.
It missed out on the full 5 stars because I wanted a bit more on the best friends ending, and also I wanted a better wrap up on little miss deranged - she was left to open for my brain to be happy with that conclusion.
The spice was fun and ultra slow burn, it was explicit but to the point and minimal. Therefore this is not a smut read, there is delicious spicy scenes but not occurring frequent enough or written graphic enough to be smut.
I think one of the more genius parts of this Duology was that it was written with a lot of love and care, the morals in the story and lessons learned were * chefs kiss. I adored how independent the FMC was, how proud she was and how strong she was! I loved all of her emotional moments, her downfalls and her hurdles made this book so good!
The author writes pain and suffering with ease, the emotional drama in this duology is what a needed, and what I’ve been looking for for over a year! I love a book with jealousy, rejection, mind games, torment, suffering, manipulation and game playing! But I especially love the books that can bring all that to the table and then top it off with karma and a female with fight left in her! Let me tell you- this did exactly that! Personally I’d have gone a bit further and darker to get my revenge/ justice and make them pay but I’m learning that I’m a bit sadistic haha.
