This was not grey but dark, depraved, and disturbed. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in and coming out I feel a mix of WHAT DID I JUST READ
This is my first J.P. Sina book and honestly I am not really sure it is a good welcome to her. This is a really short monster "romance" and it seemed more for Erotic horror than plot.
It felt very confusing with who I was reading and what was going on. Definitely needed more world building for the small plot that was there to make more sense.
It is a really short read but so full of drama and energy. It follows Eloise and her mate(s) and their relationship as it quickly develops. The backstory for the Males was emotional and terrifying and it really helped make the characters more understandable-ish and the story smoother.
You DEFINITELY need to read the TWs before going in if you have any as there are plenty in the first chapter alone as you are literally thrown straight into the darkness.
The smut is not smut but full erotic horror- dirty and depraved and yes this book is mostly smut & violence. there will be blood, control, and LOTS of knotting.
